I just want to do one more super quick update on what is going on in my world today. I just got back from dinner with the family and I was kinda curious to see how we were doing on views on the L4D Trailer, so I went and checked it out. I saw that we had gotten almost 200 more views as well as ten more comments and I was like, ‘What is going on here?‘ So I scrolled through the comments and I saw one that said, ‘Valve just told me about you guys 😀 !!!’
My first instinct is to say aloud, “You’re a dirty liar.” And I did, I said it aloud. However, after a few minutes passed, I was curious. I mean, what if Valve really sent them to me. So I did some digging on the L4D twitter and the only thing I saw was the Dev’s team @ back to me, which said that it was a good trailer. I thought for a moment and was like, ‘Why would that kid go searching through the Internet to find the trailer through there.’ It seemed like a lot of work for just a random.
So I messaged Derno and Jeremy and was like, “Listen up, someone posted on our video that they found us through Valve, I dunno if he’s lying…but we need to do some Googling up in this sh*t.” I got the replies I expected, “WHERE??!!??!?!” (Derno) I tried to explain I wasn’t sure yet and a half a second later, Derno comes back with the link to the L4D Blog. (Duh, why didn’t I think of that…)
This is how the conversation went following this revelation:
(Jigs. Yeah I do them.)
At this point in the conversation, I am feeling ‘like a boss’.
So here I am, at the tender age of 21 and my life is fully completed from happiness that I had managed to do something good enough to get the attention of my HEROES. I can die a happy young woman. God Bless you Valve. Link to the article
Now, I’m off to celebrate this occasion with an all night marathon of Left 4 Dead. Care to join?
Pics, it did happen:
